Our Story

Jason and Joyce LaBreck are a Christian married couple who reside in South Carolina and decided to create LaBreck Ministries, Inc in hopes to bring attention and support to those suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Jason, who is a 20-year retired Sergeant First Class of the US Army and Joyce who is a retired Emergency Medical Technician/First Responder, both suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Suffering from this illness, they found that there weren't many resources available to them through their employer that made them feel safe. Unfortunately, they were made to suffer in silence because their employers did not initially provide them the help that was needed. It became an out-of-pocket expense for an issue that was created by the employer. After tireless hours of research, emails, phone calls, and appointments, they were finally able to get the basic assistance in order to deal with their mental health.

Having gone through so many hurdles just to get help for their mental health, through prayer and God's guidance, they decided to create a non-profit organization who would advocate for all those who have served in the military and to the public who are suffering with PTSD.

Suffering from PTSD is already hard enough. Having to ask for help while suffering and being made to feel devalued and expendable, makes it worse. This should be unacceptable. Generally, when met with a hurdle during this time, the first instinct is to give up and suffer in silence. LaBreck Ministries, Inc is here to be your voice and help you walk in victory over PTSD through the grace of God.
